At the Women in Water and Sanitation Association (WIWAS), our team is composed of passionate and dedicated professionals who are committed to driving positive change in the water and sanitation sector. Each member brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective, united by a common goal: to empower women and girls and ensure their voices are heard.

Ms. Eldah is an experienced strategist with a special passion for environmental conservation and has been leading greening initiatives at Kisumu Water and Sanitation Company Limited (KIWASCO) as we combat climate change effects.

A holder of master’s degree in Strategic Management, she pursues Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and enjoys writing.

Executive Officer

Margaret W. Maina is the Former Managing Director of Limuru Water and Sewerage Company, a Kenyan Water utility with 17 years as the Managing Director. She has over 28 years experience in the Water Sector having worked in the Ministry of Water Development in Kenya and various Water Agencies in different capacities. She is a Water Chemist by Profession with a Bachelor of Philosophy in Technology (Applied Biology) Technical University of Kenya. She has a Masters Degree in Public Health with a Major in Epidemiology and Disease Control (Kenyatta University).  She is a member of Water Sector Advisory committee under the TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council ( TVET-CDACC) where she is involved in curriculum development of Kenya Water Institute. A founder member and Trustee of Women In Water and Sanitation Association (WIWAS). She is also a Trustee with Water Services Providers Association (WASPA) an association for all Water Utilities in Kenya.   

Since 2023, she is a member of the Advisory Board for IWA’s Inclusive Urban Sanitation initiative.
